Adopt a Week! Help care for the Woodbury Community Foundation's dedicated community garden plot, where fresh produce is grown and donated to Open Cupboard. Volunteers assist with ***planting, watering, weeding, harvesting produce throughout the growing season. *** This project is separate from Community Garden planning or committee leadership roles and focuses on maintaining our food donation plot. This work directly supports families experiencing food insecurity while strengthening our community. WCF's community garden has grown significantly in recent years and now includes 96 in-ground plots, with produce donations supporting Open Cupboard. Your shift is responsible for care of the plot for the assigned week.

Help us tell the story of community impact in Woodbury. The Woodbury Community Foundation is looking for creative volunteers who enjoy capturing photos, video, and social media content at our programs and events. As a Story Telling Team Helper, you'll help showcase the people, partnerships, and moments that make Woodbury stronger. Whether you're an experienced photographer, videographer, content creator, or simply enjoy creating engaging social media content with your smartphone, your talents can help inspire others to get involved. Volunteer opportunities may include: * Photographing community events, volunteer projects, and celebrations * Capturing short video clips and interviews for social media * Creating behind-the-scenes content, reels, and stories * Highlighting volunteers, donors, nonprofit partners, and community leaders * Assisting with live event social media coverage * Helping build a library of images and video for future marketing and fundraising We're looking for volunteers who: * Have a creative eye for storytelling * Enjoy working with people in a community setting * Are comfortable using a smartphone or camera * Can attend occasional evenings or weekend events * Believe in strengthening Woodbury through volunteerism and community connection By sharing these stories, you'll help connect more people and organizations to causes that matter and inspire others to volunteer, give, and make a difference in our community. Every photo, video, and post helps amplify the impact of the Woodbury Community Foundation and our nonprofit partners.

The inclusive community event known as One Woodbury is back and we need your help! One Woodbury is a vibrant community event celebrating the diverse people, perspectives, backgrounds and experiences in Woodbury. To make this event run smoothly, we are looking for volunteers to help in a variety of roles.

The Woodbury Community Foundation’s Winter Clothing Drive brings the community together to help ensure local kids have the warm clothing they need for Minnesota winters. Residents and volunteers donate new and gently used coats, snow pants, boots and gloves, while local businesses and community organizations serve as collection partners, making it easy for people across Woodbury to participate. WCF then works with SoWashCo CARES and local schools to connect those donations directly with students who need them. It’s a simple but powerful example of WCF’s role as a community connector, bringing together volunteers, donors, businesses and schools to turn generosity into meaningful local impact. Woodbury Lions and Sleep in Heavenly Peace are having a Bed Build Event!! On Saturday September 26th from 9 AM - 2 PM The Woodbury Lions are looking for volunteers to help build beds for kids in the area who do not have one. We are partnering with an organization called Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP). SHP builds and delivers beds to kids who do not have one. Imagine not having your own bed as a child and the excitement and happiness that a new bed of your own would bring. The Basics about the event: Day/Time: Saturday September 26th from 9 AM - 2 PM Location: Woodbury YMCA Parking Lot You do not need carpentry skills Typical duties include cutting lumber, sanding boards, assembly of components, finishing We are also looking for bedding donations that can be dropped off at the build event - twin size sheets and comforters - preferably store bought sets - new unused bedding only
